How to manage and use your SFX library

Add and organize sounds

30–40 second recording showing import, folder organization, search, preview and timeline insertion.

  1. Open SFX Lib from blinkl.io.
  2. Import one or several supported audio files.
  3. Create folders and move sounds into the appropriate group.
  4. Rename items when needed.
  5. Mark frequently used sounds as favorites.

Use search, folders and the Favorites view to find an item. Preview the sound before adding it.

Use a sound in Premiere Pro

  1. Open a Premiere Pro project and sequence.
  2. Position the playhead where the sound should begin.
  3. Select the sound in SFX Lib.
  4. Preview it when necessary.
  5. Add it to the timeline.

The active playhead and available audio-track context determine the insertion point.

Imported sounds are grouped in an SFX - Assets bin.

Add a sound to the Ring

SFX Lib sound added as a Ring action.

  1. Choose the Ring action for an individual sound effect.
  2. Select the destination Ring slot.
  3. Save the Ring configuration.

The new instant action lets you insert that sound without reopening the complete library.
