How to use Smoothify

Learn how to use Smoothify in seconds.

Prepare compatible Premiere Pro keyframes, open Smoothify, choose or create a curve and apply it to the selected properties.

Apply smooth motion with Smoothify

Select a built-in preset for a fast result or use the Bézier editor for precise easing. Press Apply or Enter when the action is available.

Step 1 – Add keyframes in Premiere Pro

1. Open a Premiere Pro project.
2. Select a clip containing a supported animated property.
3. Add at least two keyframes to the property.
4. Place the playhead between those keyframes so Smoothify can detect the property.

Step 2 – Open Smoothify

1. Open blinkl.io or the Ring.
2. Launch Smoothify.
3. If no property is available, verify the active clip and its keyframes.

Step 3 – Adjust the motion curve

1. Choose the properties to affect.
2. Select a preset or adjust the Bézier handles.
3. Apply the result.
4. Use Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo the latest compatible change when needed.

Step 4 – Save a preset

1. Save the custom curve when you plan to reuse it.
2. Give the preset a recognizable name.
3. Import, export or delete presets from the preset controls when needed.
4. Add a frequently used preset to the Ring as an instant action.

Smoothify settings

• Enable Automatically apply presets on all properties when a preset launched from the command bar should apply immediately to every compatible property.
• Enable Reduce keyframe count when you want Smoothify to use fewer keyframes and let Premiere Pro interpolate between them.
