# Configure your Ring

The Ring can contain Blinks, instant actions and nested rings. Configure it around the tasks you use most often.

## Add an item

1. Open the Ring configuration from blinkl.io.
2. Select an empty slot.
3. Choose a Blink, an available action or a nested ring.
4. Select an icon when the option is available.
5. Save the configuration.

Only actions compatible with your installed Blinks, access level and supported Adobe hosts are offered.

## Reorganize the Ring

* Move an item to another slot to change its position.
* Remove items you no longer need.
* Group related actions inside a nested ring.
* Keep frequent actions on the root Ring to reduce the number of clicks.

## Add an instant action

Some Blinks can add a preset or asset directly to the Ring. For example, Smoothify can expose a preset and SFX Lib can expose an individual sound effect. Launching the Ring item runs that action without opening the complete Blink interface.

## Appearance and motion

Use the Ring settings to adjust available visual options, including reduced animation when offered.

## Ring limits

The number of available slots or extensions can depend on your blinkl.io plan. If a slot is unavailable, check **Account and extension access in** **blinkl.io**.
