How to use Snap Action
Use Premiere Pro native presets
Snap Action can search and apply presets already available in Premiere Pro alongside effects and transitions.
Find an item
- Open a Premiere Pro project and select the clip or clips you want to modify.
- Open Snap Action from blinkl.io or the Ring.
- Search for a preset, effect or transition.
- Use the All, Video or Audio filter when you need to narrow the results.
Favorites and Recent keep frequently used items accessible without repeating the complete search.
Apply an effect
- Select one or several compatible clips.
- Search for the video or audio effect.
- Select Apply on the matching effect.
- Verify the result in Premiere Pro Effect Controls.
Apply a transition

- Select at least one compatible video or audio clip.
- Search for the transition and select it.
- Choose Apply to Start, Apply to End or Apply Between Clips.
- For Apply Between Clips, select at least two compatible clips before applying.
What native presets are
Native presets are the presets visible in Premiere Pro. Snap Action reads the available list so you can find them by name without navigating the Effects panel.
Apply a native Premiere Pro preset

- Select a compatible clip or timeline item.
- Search for the preset name.
- Select the matching native preset to apply it.
If the preset cannot be applied, verify the active selection and reopen Snap Action if the item list appears incomplete.
Troubleshooting
- No clip selected: select a compatible timeline clip and retry.
- Incomplete list: close and reopen Snap Action to reload Premiere Pro items.
- Transition unavailable: confirm that the selection matches the Video or Audio transition type.
- No search result: remove the media filter or try the Premiere Pro item name.
