Use Smoothify

Learn how to use Smoothify in seconds.

Follow the interactive guide below to see exactly how it works.

Apply smooth motion with Smoothify

This article explains how to use Smoothify to create smooth, natural motion curves on keyframes in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Step 1 – Add keyframes in Premiere Pro

  1. Open the Effect Controls panel.
  2. Under Transform controls, add keyframes to the property you want to animate

(for example: Position or Scale).

  1. Move the playhead between the keyframes.

Smoothify works on existing keyframes.

Step 2 – Open Smoothify

  1. Open blinkl.io using your shortcut

(Command + K on Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows).

  1. Type Custom Keyframes.
  2. Select Custom Keyframes.

This tells Smoothify to affect only the selected keyframes.

Step 3 – Adjust the motion curve

In the Smoothify interface, you can fine-tune the animation:

  • Use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out for precision
  • Adjust Bezier handles to control ease in and ease out
  • Click Apply to update the animation instantly

Changes are applied directly in Premiere Pro.

Step 4 – Save a preset

To reuse the same curve later:

  1. Press Command + S (Mac) or Ctrl + S (Windows).
  2. Name your preset.

The preset will appear under Use Preset the next time you open Smoothify.
